J. Ryan Nordhaus is of counsel with the law firm of Boyd-Veigel, PC. and has been practicing law in Collin County since April 2003. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 21, 1976. Mr. Nordhaus graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in August 1998. He received his Juris Doctor at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in July 2002. He graduated from the Dedman School of Law at SMU in Dallas with an L.L.M. in Taxation in December 2005 after beginning his studies at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. He also participated and completed the Institute on International and Comparative Law Study Abroad Program in Florence, Italy, through the University of San Diego School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas on April 3, 2003. Mr. Nordhaus is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, McKinney Chamber of Commerce, State Bar College, and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Nordhaus, his wife April, and their daughter Kate make their home in Prosper, Texas. Mr. Nordhaus has successfully represented clients throughout the State of Texas in family law and probate matters.
