Deric King Walpole joined the law firm of Boyd-Veigel, P.C. in October, 2003.  He has been practicing criminal law in Collin County since November, 1998.  While originally from Georgia, Mr. Walpole and his family make McKinney their home.

Mr. Walpole graduated from Texas A&M University with an M.S. in Genetics in 1995 and from the University of Houston in 1997.  He was admitted to the Bar on November 6, 1998.  In 2000 the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association voted him "Trial Lawyer of the Year".

In January, 2003 he was voted in as their president-elect and is currently serving in that capacity.

Mr. Walpole and his wife, Jami, along with their children are active members of the community.

He was an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts for ten years and is a musician and avid hunter.
